Repos sits quietly on Lodewijk de Koninckstraat in Antwerp, offering a low-key spot where the pace slows down just enough to enjoy good company and straightforward food. It’s best known as a cozy café-cum-local pub, with an atmosphere that appeals equally to those looking for a casual lunch or a relaxed evening drink. The location on a less busy street helps keep the vibe intimate, away from the bustling city crowds.

The menu leans toward familiar, comforting plates — sandwiches, goat cheese salads, tortilla met kip, and spaghetti bolognese show how the kitchen sticks to what works without trying too hard. Regulars seem to appreciate the savoury pancakes and a notable chili con carne, making it a solid choice for a midday bite that’s satisfying without being overly fancy. The food is described as straightforward and pairs well with a decent beer selection, suiting those who want a no-fuss meal alongside their drinks.

Evenings here take on a friendly bar feel, with a broad drink menu and house wine that gets positive nods. The staff tends to be helpful and welcoming, which adds a layer of ease for visitors who drop in for post-dinner drinks or to linger over a few rounds with friends. The terrace, modest yet pleasant, draws a steady crowd in the warmer months and pitches Repos as a neighborhood hub for casual gatherings.

Expect this place to be busiest at dinner and in the early evening, especially on weekends, so arriving just before peak time can help avoid a wait. It’s not a spot for gourmet adventures or a bustling night out but thrives as a comfortable go-to for locals who want a quiet corner to eat, drink, and catch up. Whether you’re grabbing a simple lunch, meeting friends for drinks, or enjoying warmer days on the terrace, Repos fits neatly into Antwerp’s café-bar scene with an unassuming charm.

Very nice and cozy bar. Ideal to meet with friends, have a drink and have a wonderful night. They also have a terrace which is very cute and nice at lovely summer evenings.

Didn't eat there, only went with friends for after dinner drinks. Very nice athmosphere, good housewine, large selection of drinks, good and friendly service. I'll definitely check out the food at another opportunity....
